Your confidential statement provides a brief snapshot of the wide range of benefits provided by Wachovia as well as Wachovia's cost to provide you with these coverages. It is intended to summarize the company’s benefits using election and payroll data as of December 31, 2004.
As you are aware, 2004 marked the introduction of two important changes in our benefits program, including a Wachovia-paid vision plan and a shorter waiting period for new hires to join our 401(k) plan.
